Which treatment fits your situation
The dentist recommends the plan after seeing your X-ray or scan. These are the usual starting points.
Single implant and crown
For a missing tooth, or one cracked or decayed beyond repair. The neighbouring teeth are left untouched; often the tooth is removed and the implant placed at the same visit.
Implants or an implant bridge
Individual implants for each gap, or a bridge on two implants when teeth next to each other are missing. The plan uses the fewest implants that do the job well.
All-on-4 or All-on-6
A fixed bridge of teeth on four or six implants when most teeth in a jaw are missing or failing. How full-arch treatment works.
Bone graft or sinus lift first
If the bone is thin, a graft, a sinus lift or shorter implants can make treatment possible. You are told before you book, not after you arrive.
Trips and time in Vietnam
Typical timelines. Your surgeon confirms yours from your X-ray or scan, in writing, before you book travel.
| Treatment | Trips | Time in Vietnam |
|---|---|---|
| Single implant | Usually 2 trips | About a week each, 3–6 months apart: implant first, crown once the bone has healed |
| Single implant, good bone | Sometimes 1 trip | Possible with MegaGen or Straumann implants when the scan shows good bone density |
| Full arch (All-on-4 / All-on-6) | 2 trips | About a week for surgery and a fixed temporary bridge; 1–2 weeks for the final bridge a few months later |

We accept cards issued abroad and bank transfer, and give you English invoices and treatment notes for your insurer.
Questions people ask
How much do dental implants cost in Vietnam?
It depends on the number of implants, the brand and the crown or bridge. As a guide, a Dentium All-on-4 arch with an acrylic bridge starts from about $7,870 AUD, including the CT scan, appointments and transfers. After the dentist reviews your X-ray, you receive an itemised written quote before you book.
How many trips will I need?
A single implant usually takes two trips of about a week each, 3–6 months apart: the implant is placed first and the crown fitted once the bone has healed. One trip is sometimes possible when the bone is good, with MegaGen or Straumann implants. Full-arch treatment takes two trips. Your surgeon confirms your plan from your scan.
I have a cracked tooth that cannot be saved. Do I need an implant?
If a tooth is cracked beyond repair, it usually needs to come out. An implant replaces it without touching the neighbouring teeth. In many cases the tooth can be removed and the implant placed at the same visit; the dentist decides from your X-ray.
I have been missing a tooth for years. Is it too late?
It is rarely too late. The jawbone shrinks after a tooth is lost, so a bone graft may be needed first. The CBCT scan shows how much bone there is and whether grafting is required.
I have been told I do not have enough bone. What can be done?
Options include a bone graft, a sinus lift in the upper jaw, or shorter or narrower implants. The scan shows your exact bone volume, and your plan tells you before you book whether any of these are needed.
Can I get implants if I have gum disease?
Active gum disease has to be treated first, because it raises the risk of implant failure. Once the gums are healthy and stable, implants can usually be placed.
I had an implant fail at another clinic. Can it be replaced?
Usually, yes. The failed implant is removed, the area heals, often with a bone graft, and a new implant is placed. The dentist first looks for the cause of the failure. Send your X-rays so we can review them before you travel.
What happens after I fly home?
Your surgeon stays reachable on WhatsApp. You leave with your records, including the implant brand, so a dentist near you can see exactly what was done. Read our aftercare guide for dental tourists.
